The Saucer Magnolia is noted for its magnificent bloom of beautiful pink and white, saucer-like flowers. Once the huge flowers open, they can transform any landscape into a wonderland that is sure to attract all the right attention. This deciduous tree is a show-stopper! It is one of the most popular flowering trees available in the United States. Magnolia x soulangeana (botanical name) is a hybrid with lush, dark green and leathery summertime leaves that contrast beautifully with its silvery-gray colored bark. We like to plant them as a single specimen in the front yard so that everyone can enjoy the show. Of course, you can keep the beauty all to yourself and plant some in your back yard, too!

Full sun is ideal for this tree. Plant them in a spot that receives at least six hours of direct sun each day. This ornamental flowering tree can grow large enough to provide plenty of shade, too. You will love the scenery it can create. Feel free to rest under the Saucer Magnolia leaves, taking in the showy, fragrant flowers. Once established, it will have low to moderate watering needs. Feed with a general-purpose fertilizer before new growth begins. These trees are ideal for growing in our area. They can grow in acidic, loamy, moist, rich, sandy, well-drained and clay soils.

When you plant a Saucer Magnolia tree, you can add instant curb appeal to your property. Moon Valley Nurseries custom-grows the best-quality trees so that they will thrive in your landscape. We have specimen size trees available, and we value engineer our products to save you money! Plus, we can do the work, from design to delivery and installation.
