Like other Magnolia trees, the Samuel Sommer cultivar is a medium sized vase-shaped tree that is distinguishable by its beautifully fragrant summertime blooms. These are a thick growing dense evergreen shade tree that work well in all landscape styles. Samuel Sommer Magnolia trees grow fantastic throughout Southern California and into Arizona. Due to their compact growth style these make a great tree for an area with limited space such as medians, street trees, near patios, driveways, and since they are evergreen even around pools.
